Age Limit

JEE Main Online Form 2025 Eligibility
- Only those candidates who have passed the Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2023, 2024, or those who are appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2025, are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2025.
- Candidates who passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2022 or before are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2025.

List of Qualifying Examinations (QE)
- The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
- Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy
- Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the NIOS with a minimum of five subjects.
- Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the AIU.
- Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
- A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.
- GCE examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
- Candidates who have completed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of AIU to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII Examination.
- In case the Class XII Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Selection Process
- Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.
- Paper 2A (B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
- Paper 2B (B. Planning): Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II), and Planning-Based Questions (Part-III) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode only.

*Each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B.
Paper 2A (B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in CBT mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in Pen and Paper Based (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
*20 questions will be MCQs and 05 (five) questions will have answers to be filled as a numerical value out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B.
